A great reminder that some parents will do anything and go to any extent to have their child in the? running for a high title at a pageant. I don't know what's sadder that the mom dressed her child this way or that the child (thankfully) has no idea who Julia Roberts or the movie Pretty Woman is and yet is flaunting it as though she knows every bit of it.

this little girl has no idea what a prostitute is and technically, she's covered up way more than some? of the other girls in those pageants. the highest risks for negative psychological impact fall to the other (older) girls in the pageant who watched her performance. i doubt this little girl was damaged by wearing that outfit b/c she's too young to know what it references. i'm not defending the mom, but the outrage is a bit misplaced imo. to the girl, it's just another costume.

Have you ever seen Pretty Women (good movie, not bashing it at all)? The opening scene shows Julia Roberts wearing this outfit as a prostitute trying to pay her rent. In no way shape or form should a mother EVER dress their child up like this and put her on TV. If this is a 'joke' then I demand? for the mother to be arrested. Dressing a child like that is abuse.

this show is very awful and comical in a bad way. i watched it because it looked cute, but when that kid ripped her skirt off and threw it like some stripper i was like what the f**k am i watching all of a sudden?! it went from cute to disturbing. i think TLC is taking the show in a very stupid direction to get new viewers. they are taking the "shock factor" way too far. and that kid's mom made it clear that they are only doing it to get? famous. she is messed up in the head and seems crazy.
